Poster Show 5

Can you believe it’s the 5th Annual Poster Show? That’s right, it’s finally here!

Open Call Entry Deadline is May 1st!

This year’s theme? Gig Posters! Design a poster for any band, show, or festival that has ever existed – or that you wish existed! Run D.M.C. playing in Outer space? Stellar! Jimi Hendrix joining the Cure? Sure! Taylor Swift fronting King Diamond? Weirdbut no problem.

The show will be a juried exhibition of submitted posters submitted by YOU and curated by a chosen panel of esteemed judges. Selected posters will be on display at 529 in EAV at a future date. All of the posters in the show will be up for the chance to win the People’s Choice Award and an awesome prize! Like years past, prints of all chosen posters will be for sale. Poster proceeds will fund AIGA Atlanta’s fantastic annual programming.

Those esteemed judges we mentioned? We have Robert Lee (Methane Studios), Brian Steely (Steelyworks), and, and the awesome Tracie Ching from D.C.! Each judge will also choose their favorite poster and award it a “Judge’s Choice Award” with a prize.

Even if your poster is not chosen for the show, we want you to be a part of the gig, so you will be able to come to the event for free! Keep checking back for updates on judges, sponsors, prizes, and show event details.

FAQS – No, no backstage pass needed.

Is there a submission fee?

Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no. Your time and talent is payment enough.

Can my submission be created in another medium?

I said you could have whatever you likeIf you prefer to hand draw, paint, or screenprint your piece, you can! But we’ll still need a digital file at the correct size with crops and bleeds so we can print it.

Can I submit more than one design?

Gimme, Gimme More Gimme, More, but we may not be able to exhibit more than one. We’re more of a Masquerade sized show than a Music Midtown.

If you try to enter the gig with someone else’s intellectual property, the bouncer will have to ask you to leave. You must not use any imagery, illustration, photography or other stock materials that you do not have the rights to. AIGA Atlanta reserves the right to disqualify any piece we feel infringes on any copyright.

How will the posters be printed?

The chosen submissions will be printed digitally by our sponsor.

How will I know if my poster will be included in the show?

All artists whose posters are chosen will be notified.
