That Poster Show: Season Six is quickly approaching, and this year’s theme is TELEVISION! Buy your ticket now to the biggest creative event of the season.

We have invited our design community to create a poster inspired by a television show, and we’re throwing a big party to reveal and celebrate the top posters. Our esteemed judges will curate those top entries for That Poster Show exhibition on Thursday, October 13 from 6-9 pm at Monday Night Garage in the Chandelier Room.

Meet the Judges

Lauren Hartstone - Executive Creative Director

Lauren is an Emmy-nominated creative director and graphic designer. She specializes in compelling visual identities and thoughtful storytelling for a wide range of brands. Select clients include Apple TV+, Google, FX, Teachable, TCM, HBOMax, and B&H. Previously Lauren was a creative director at GreteI and Imaginary Forces. Her work has been recognized by Creative Review, Brand New/Under Consideration, and Fast Company.

Alysa Story - Art Director, Entrepreneur, Educator

Alysa Story is a seasoned Art Director, Broadcast Designer, Entrepreneur and Educator. Her interests are in typography, graphic, motion media and set design, as well as photography, cinematography and architecture. She is currently a professor of Motion Media Design at the Atlanta campus of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where she graduated with an MFA in 2010. She earned an AIGA SEED award in 2011 for her graduate thesis film, Keyframes: Turning Points in Motion Design. It was her work on CNN Heroes 10th Annual All Star Tribute Show that won her an Emmy award for graphic design in 2017. She’s called Atlanta home for over 25 years and spends her spare time as a Little Free Library steward, a caretaker for two of the most adorable rescue dogs ever, and the renovator of a 1940’s former gas station that she plans to turn into a photography/film studio.

Dorothea Taylor - Art Director, Designer, Illustrator

Dorothea is an award-winning art director, a designer and an illustrator. She is one of the founders and current owner of T.P. Design, Inc. Founded in 1992, T.P. specializes in a unique blend of design fused with illustration, a process they call “designustration”. Over the years T.P. has been called upon for a unique array of commercial projects for companies like Pepsi, Church’s, General Mills, Cartoon Network and Georgia Pacific. T.P. Design also was the first all Black studio to be featured in How Magazine’s Business Annual.

Dorothea has been featured in dozens of magazines and books on design and illustration and has won a Communication Arts Illustration Award. Most recently she’s written a children’s book called, “There’s a Dragon in my Closet” published by Simon & Schuster. Illustrating children's books fulfills her life long dream of creating more books for black and brown children. As a member of The Poster Posse, she creates pop culture art for social media, posters, collateral, packaging and more for major motion picture studios and entertainment companies. Since her time with the Posse she has created officially licensed art for the likes of Universal Pictures, LucasFilms, Disney/Pixar and Marvel Studios.
