Atlanta Type Walk

The Atlanta Type Walk weaves the story that letters in the downtown built environment tell. Coupled with historic research on letterforms, typefaces and Atlanta's development, the walk travels in time from 1897 to present. Participants see, hear and experience Atlanta from a fresh perspective as they view building names, street signs, wayfinding signs, plaques, abandoned signs and graffiti.

The walk starts promptly at 10am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start, rain or shine.
Meet on the mezzanine level of the Five Points MARTA station.
The walk ends at the Carnegie Education Pavilion in Hardy Ivy Park at Baker and Peachtree Streets.
