Good Things Come in Threes! AIGA Atlanta is bringing you the Third Annual Poster Show fundraiser. This year, we’re asking you to take us to your favorite place.
Open Call Entry Deadline is March 5. If you could go anywhere… LITERALLY anywhere, where would it be? Is it somewhere on this planet? This universe? Or, is it somewhere completely unreachable by normal travel means? Have you ever dreamed of going to the Moon? Is your happy place a cabin you used to visit with your grandparents? Will you travel anywhere for your favorite food? Do you dream of going to Hogwarts? Think of your favorite place, real or imaginary, design a poster inspired by that place, and send it to us! All submissions will be reviewed by a few carefully selected judges and a juried exhibition will be on display at the Ponce City Market gallery in March. All of the posters in the show will be up for the chance to win the People’s Choice Award and a ticket round trip flight*! You read that right, we’ll send you on an adventure! Once again, prints of all chosen posters will be for sale. Poster proceeds will fund AIGA Atlanta’s fantastic annual programming. Even if your poster is not chosen for the show, we want you to be a part of the adventure, so you will be able to come to the event for free! Deadline: March 5. File Setup & Delivery
Your file should be set up to 18” x 24” with a .125” bleed and crop marks.
Name your file with your first and last name and destination. EXAMPLE: AnthonyBourdain_RestaurantInThailand.pdf
Upload your print-ready pdf, at least 300 dpi, below and fill in the form questions.
FAQS – No, you don’t need to bring your passport.
Is there a submission fee?
Nah. Your time and talent is payment enough.
Can my submission be created in another medium?
If you prefer to hand draw, paint, or screenprint your piece, you can! But we’ll still need a digital file at the correct size so we can print it.
Can I submit more than one design?
Sure, but we may not be able to exhibit more than one. We’re more of a Liechtenstein sized show than a Brazil.
Is there a no-fly zone?
You must not use any imagery, illustration, photography or other stock materials that you do not have the rights to. However, if you or a friend have photos from a trip that you want to use (and he/she gives you permission to use them), that’s a different story! AIGA Atlanta reserves the right to disqualify any piece we feel infringes on any copyright.
How will the posters be printed?
The chosen submissions will be printed digitally by our sponsor, Bennett Graphics. AIGA is eternally grateful for Bennett Graphics’ contribution to our chapter. They deserve a relaxing vacation!
How will I know if my poster will be included in the show?
All artists whose posters are chosen will be notified by mid-March.
