Georgia State University will be hosting Joe Ciardiello, an award-winning illustrator, as a part of it’s Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series on October 17, at GSU’s Creative Media Industries Institute. There will be a book signing in the lobby of Arts & Humanities from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and the talk will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the CMII building. Photo Credit to Deborah Feingold.

The CMII Building is located at 25 Park Place, on the corner of Auburn Avenue Northeast and Park Place Northeast. Attendees can also take the MARTA Rail Line to Five Points station. After exiting Five Points station, the CMII building is a three minute walk away, across from Woodruff Park.
About Joe Ciardiello:
A freelance illustrator since 1974, Joe Ciardiello has worked for most major magazines and newspapers as well as for corporate and advertising clients, book publishers and record companies. Clients have included American Express, Barnes & Noble, Capitol Records, Entertainment Weekly, The Nation, The New Yorker, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Rolling Stone.
In addition, Joe has created many portraits for the New York Times Book Review. Among his awards is the prestigious Hamilton King award from the Society of Illustrators. His latest book, A FISTFUL OF DRAWINGS, was published by Fantagraphics in 2019.
