On June 11, we’ll be talking with The Squirrel Census team about how and why they count squirrels in Atlanta and beyond!

The Squirrel Census is a multimedia science, design, and storytelling project focusing on the Eastern gray (Sciurus carolinensis). They count squirrels and present their findings to the public. In October 2018, they led over 300 volunteers on the first-ever complete census of the squirrels in Central Park, New York, NY. The following year, they released the multimedia Central Park Squirrel Census 2019 Report.
