About Noreen Morioka
Noreen Morioka is a creative leader for brand-driven projects ranging from corporate, on-air, and digital.
In 2006, Noreen was named as a Fellow of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Morioka served as President of Los Angeles Chapter of AIGA, chair of the AIGA National President’s Council, Fellow of the International Design Conference at Aspen, Chair of the James Beard Foundation Award for Design and Architecture, and currently serves as a board member of the ADC in New York. She is a frequent competition judge and lecturer. Highlights included the Cannes Lions, British D&AD, South Africa’s Design Indaba.
In 2014, Noreen was awarded the AIGA Medal, one of the highest design honors recognized by her profession. Her most meaningful achievements, however, remain her contributions to the success of her clients and her teams.
About Nicole Jacek:
Before starting W+K, NJ was Founder of NJ(L.A.) a transdisciplinary agency, a Designer and Art Director at The Designers Republici n Sheffield, UK, and Creative Director at karlssonwilker in New York. She is an award winning designer with honors from the Type Directors Club, ADC, Print Magazine, D&AD and Red Dot. NJ is one of Print’s New Visual Artists, as well as an ADC Young Guns winner.
Her work has appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers and books around the world. NJ has been a member of the design faculty at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, and visiting design critic at the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design, Fashion Institute of Technology and The Cooper Union, New York. She served as the youngest Art Directors Club Board Member for five years and has been appointed to restructure the ADC Young Guns Program as chair of the ADC Young Guns committee—building a valuable platform and club for the most creative talent in fashion, music, design and technology, in partnership with NeueHouse. NJ holds a Diplom-Designer (FH) degree from Merz Akademie, University of Design, Art and Media, Stuttgart, Germany.
