Meet the Judges
Gia Graham, Illustration and Hand Lettering – IG @iamgiagraham. Gia is an illustrator and hand lettering artist based in Atlanta, originally from sunny Barbados. She credits her island background for influencing the vibrant colors, lush florals and foliage she often incorporates into her work. Although her work is rooted in all things natural and organic, Gia prefers to work digitally, trading in pencil and paper for an iPad and drawing app. Over her 20 year creative career, she has worked in corporate graphic design, run her own stationery business and now focuses on licensing her art to product-based companies. When she’s not drawing for clients, Gia can be found sharing her knowledge through online classes and workshops.
Tré Seals, Vocal Type – IG @tre.seals. Tré Seals is a renowned designer, creative entrepreneur, and the founder of @vocaltype.co. Tré has developed a range of impactful typefaces and visual identities focused on finding ways to increase diversity and empathy in the design industry. His work stands out for its attention to detail and cultural relevance, blending modern design sensibilities with historical influences. Each typeface highlights a piece of history from a specific underrepresented race, ethnicity, or gender—from the Women’s Suffrage Movement in Argentina to the Civil Rights Movement in America.
Neil Secretario, Lettering Artist, Global Communications Director at UPS in Atlanta – IG @neilsecretario. Neil is a Global Communications Director at UPS in Atlanta, where he has led creative and editorial teams to craft compelling brand narratives and drive strategic communication initiatives. Neil is also a left-handed lettering artist and graphic designer originally from California. As a freelance designer, he has created logos and custom lettering for a diverse range of clients, from global brands to local startups. Some of his clients include Conde Nast, GQ Germany, Intercom, Lionsgate, Mikimoto, Penguin Random House, Schweppes Europe, Sony Pictures, and YouTube. His expertise in drawing letters led to the release of Calafia, a script typeface he designed inspired by left-handed brush lettering (available at Lost Type).
