2025 Poster Show Open Call!

Y’all ready? ️ Poster Show Open Call starts now!

This year’s theme is The Atlanta Influence. It’s all about the culture, creativity, and legacy of our city. You’re invited to submit a poster that’s your take on Atlanta and its impact. We’ll feature a juried exhibition of the top submissions at an in-person party and gallery show in September.

The Atlanta Influence is a visual tribute to the iconic style, voices, and energy that define Atlanta’s impact on music, fashion, art, activism, and beyond. Tell us: when it comes to Atlanta, what stands out to you? Let’s collectively capture the spirit of a city that shapes trends, sparks change, and stays unapologetically true to itself. Whether it’s the bass of Southern hip hop, the flavor of its culinary scene, or the echoes of civil rights movements—Atlanta’s fingerprints are everywhere.

Your poster should reflect The Atlanta Influence—past, present, or future. We’re looking for designs that are bold, expressive, and rooted in the spirit of Atlanta. Interpret the theme your way, through your lens. Join us as we explore how ATL continues to inspire the world, one poster at a time.

All submissions will be reviewed by a few carefully selected critics, and a juried exhibition of the top entries will be on display at our season premiere in September. You don’t want to miss that party!! All posters in the show will be up for the chance to win the People’s Choice Award and a prize! Prints of all chosen posters will also be for sale at the event. Proceeds will fund AIGA Atlanta’s event programming.

Even if your poster is not chosen for the show, you’ll get free entry into the show in September! Keep checking back here for updates on judges, sponsors, prizes, and party details.

Open Call Entry Deadline is July 20th. No exceptions!

 

File Setup & Delivery

Your file should be 18” x 24” with a .125” bleed and crop marks.

Ensure the elements you include on your poster (textures, images, etc.) are all 300 dpi.

Name your file with your first and last name and poster title. EXAMPLE: FirstnameLastname_MyTitleHere.pdf

Upload your print-ready PDF, at least 300 dpi, here and fill in the form questions.

 

FAQS

Is there a submission fee? Nope! Your time and talent is payment enough! Plus you’ll get free entry to the Poster Show party along with submitting a poster design!

Can my submission be created in another medium? You can use ANY medium to create your poster, but we’ll ultimately need a digital file at the correct size so we can print it.

Can I submit more than one design? Absolutely, but we may not be able to exhibit more than one design.

What about copyright restrictions? Due to copyright laws, we encourage you to completely reimagine any artwork. You must not use any photography, illustration, logos, video stills or fonts that you do not have the rights to. AIGA Atlanta reserves the right to disqualify any piece we feel infringes on any copyright.

How will the posters be printed? The chosen submissions will be printed digitally by our amazing sponsor, Standard Press on fantastic sustainable paper from Sustana Papers! We’ll display the posters in their full award-winning glory at both 18” x 24” and a smaller portable size.

How will I know if my poster is chosen for the show? All artists whose posters are chosen will be notified by mid-August.

How will the posters be sold? By submitting artwork for this event, you are giving AIGA Atlanta permission to print digital copies of your submission. Up to 20 copies of your artwork (at two sizes) will be available for sale at the show and in the future to raise funds for AIGA Atlanta.
