Join us for April’s BUZZ, AIGA Altanta’s monthly happy hour meetup for creatives who love good design and good company.

BUZZ is a laid-back space for designers, students, and creative friends to mingle, connect, and tap into Atlanta’s creative community. Bring a friend, a coworker, or come solo—there’s always someone new to meet.

No programs, no presentations—just good vibes, great conversations, and plenty of chances to spark new connections over a drink. Whether you’re here for networking, friendship, or just a reason to get out and enjoy a spring evening, this one’s for you.

This month, we’re heading to Monday Night Brewing – The Grove in West Midtown on Tuesday, April 28th, from 6–8 PM.

Not an AIGA member? Not a designer? No problem! We love meeting new people—so drop in and bring a friend or colleague. No pressure, no awkwardness—just a welcoming space to connect with fellow creatives.

Pre-registration through Eventbrite is requested.

The AIGA Code of Conduct is designed to clearly communicate standards of behavior for our members, attendees, volunteers, speakers, sponsors or others and the process for reporting violations of these standards. We are committed to having an inclusive community embracing different perspectives and viewpoints. And we are equally dedicated to providing a safe and productive experience for everyone who participates in AIGA and to treating everyone with respect. That means that misconduct, including but not limited to harassment in any form, will not be tolerated.

The event is free and lively. Please plan for a safe ride home!

Typography is more than choosing fonts. The details—dashes, kerning, spacing, hierarchy—are what separate amateur work from professional and help readers understand your content clearly. Getting these details right is both satisfying and essential.

Good typography lives in the details. If you learned typography basics but still feel uncertain about the finer points, this session covers what you need. Knowing when to use an em dash vs. an en dash, understanding metric vs. optical kerning, and mixing typefaces with confidence will bring joy and polish to your work.
