Hello Student AIGA Members!

We are excited to announce our second screen print workshop on Saturday, January 14th at Portfolio Center.

Immediately following the 10:00 am monthly Student Board meeting, AIGA Student Board Communications officer Danielle Tobin will teach the screen printing process from beginning to end. (We should begin approximately around noon) Plus, attendees have the optional opportunity to print their own artwork!

Workshop includes:

• How to coat screens with emulsion

• How to expose artwork on a screen

• Printing process

• Cleaning process

We will be printing some AIGA promo materials for our yearly Pin Up Show such as t-shirts, posters, and tote bags. You are welcome to bring your own paper or any flat printable surface items such as paper bags, flat boxes, envelopes, wood, etc.

If you are interested in printing a 1-color image of your own, the deadline to turn in your personal artwork that you would like to print is January 11.

Artwork requirements: 12" x 12" max size, 100% black image, 5 point stroke weight minimum

The workshop is limited to 12 spots. (This event sells out quickly, register today!)

A small fee of $16.00 will cover all supplies.

Workshop length: 4–6 hours, most items covered within 4 hours with additional time included for those who really get into it!
